Spend my days with a woman unkind Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine Made up my mind, make a new start Goin' to California with an achin' in my heart Someone told me there's a girl out there With love in her eyes and flowers in her hair Took my chances on a big jet-plane Never let 'em tell ya that they're aw-ooh-all the same Hoh, the sea was red and the sky was grey I wonder how tomorrow could ever follow today-hee Mountains and the canyons start to tremble and shake The children of the sun begin to awake Now Watch out It seems that the wrath of the gods got a punch on the nose And it's startin' to flow, I think I might be sinkin' Throw me a line, if I reach it in time Meet you up there where the path runs straight and high Find a queen without a king They say she plays guitar and cries and sings, la-la-la-la Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never been born Standin' on a hill in the mountain of dreams Tellin' myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems

Penny Lane 02:56
Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs Of every head he's had the pleasure to have known And all the people that come and go Stop and say hello On the corner is a banker with a motorcar The little children laugh at him behind his back And the banker never wears a mac In the pouring rain... Very strange Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies I sit, and meanwhile back In Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen. He likes to keep his fire engine clean It's a clean machine Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes Four of fish and finger pies In summer, meanwhile back Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout A pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray And though she feels as if she's in a play She is anyway Penny Lane the barber shaves another customer We see the banker sitting waiting for a trim Then the fireman rushes in From the pouring rain... Very strange Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies I sit, and meanwhile back Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes There beneath the blue suburban skies... Penny Lane

Tempted 04:33
I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a flannel for my face Pajamas, a hairbrush, new shoes & a case. I said to my reflection, Let´s get out of this place. Pass the church & the steeple, the laundry on the hill Billboards & the buildings Memories of it still keep calling And calling But forget it all I know I´ll Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered What´s been going on Now that you´ve gone Theres no other Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered I am at the carpark, the airport, the baggage carousel The people keep on grabbing, aint wishing I was well I said, "It is no occasion. It is no story I can tell." At my bedside, empty pocket, a foot without a sock Your body gets much closer I fumble for the clock, alarmed by The seduction I wish that it´d stop Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered What´s been going on Now that you´ve gone theres no other Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered I bought a novel, some perfume, a fortune all for you But it isn´t my conscience that hates to be untrue. I asked of my reflection, What is there to do? Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered What´s been going on Now that you´ve gone theres no other Tempted by the fruit of another Tempted but the truth is discovered

In Your Eyes 04:33
love I get so lost, sometimes days pass and this emptiness fills my heart when I want to run away I drive off in my car but whichever way I go I come back to the place you are all my instincts, they return and the grand facade, so soon will burn without a noise, without my pride I reach out from the inside in your eyes the light the heat in your eyes I am complete in your eyes I see the doorway to a thousand churches in your eyes the resolution of all the fruitless searches in your eyes I see the light and the heat in your eyes oh, I want to be that complete I want to touch the light the heat I see in your eyes love, I don't like to see so much pain so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away I get so tired of working so hard for our survival I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive and all my instincts, they return and the grand facade, so soon will burn without a noise, without my pride I reach out from the inside in your eyes the light the heat in your eyes I am complete in your eyes I see the doorway to a thousand churches in your eyes the resolution of all the fruitless searches in your eyes I see the light and the heat in your eyes oh, I want to be that complete I want to touch the light, the heat I see in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes in your eyes

I would love to tour the Southland In a traveling minstrel show Yes I'd love to tour the Southland In a traveling minstrel show Yes I'm dying to be a star and make them laugh Sound just like a record on the phonograph Those days are gone forever Over a long time ago, oh yeah I have never met Napoleon But I plan to find the time I have never met Napoleon But I plan to find the time 'Cause he looks so fine upon that hill They tell me he was lonely, he's lonely still Those days are gone forever Over a long time ago, oh yeah I stepped up on the platform The man gave me the news He said, You must be joking son Where did you get those shoes? Where did you get those shoes? Well, I've seen 'em on the TV, the movie show They say the times are changing but I just don't know These things are gone forever Over a long time ago, oh yeah

There is a young cowboy he lives on the range His horse and his cattle are his only companions He works in the saddle and he sleeps in the canyons Waiting for summer, his pastures to change And as the moon rises he sits by his fire Thinking about women and glasses of beer And closing his eyes as the doggies retire He sings out a song which is soft but its clear As if maybe someone could hear (chorus) Goodnight you moonlight ladies Rockabye sweet baby James Deep greens and blues are the colors I choose Wont you let me go down in my dreams And rockabye sweet baby James Now the first of December was covered with snow And so was the turnpike from stockbridge to Boston Lord, the Berkshires seemed dream-like on account of that frosting With ten miles behind me and ten thousand more to go Theres a song that they sing when they take to the highway A song that they sing when they take to the sea A song that they sing of their home in the sky Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep But singing works just fine for me

about

Keith Richards was asked the following question.... When you have two guitarists playing together, how do you decide who plays what ? His reply.... "It's The Ancient Art Of Weaving"

The sound of wooden guitars and the simple power of a favorite song…. Creating a little musical magic in the living room with a few very talented friends.  This has always been one of our favorite ways to make music. Chris Wooley & Tim Godwin have played music together for years, but…. wouldn’t it be fun to play as a duo, just two acoustic guitars and voices, and create some clean acoustic arrangements of our absolute favorite songs ? We’ve done a couple hundred gigs since then, and we figured it was time to make a CD of our little musical  fun-zone. This has been an amazing recording experience. As we got started, a few exceedingly talented friends offered their valuable time & musical gifts. We are humbled & thankful for their generosity. At the core, it’s a couple of wooden guitars, a remarkable song, and good friends to enjoy it with…
